A frame we made, hung in a house, reflecting a staircase we made. Everything drawn further down this page is drawn to the section this one was built to.
It is hot-rolled steel angle, mitered on a fiber laser and welded closed by hand, and the glass rests down inside the L. What faces the room is an eighth of an inch of steel, with the glass recessed in shadow behind it. No stocked frame holds that line, because no stocked frame is made from structural angle.
Turn it. Move your cursor across the frame.
See the collectionDrawn with ¾″ backing. On a shipped wall piece the backing is yours to pick, and it sets how deep the shadow reads: thinner backing, deeper reveal.
The reveal is what the section produces: the leg stands an inch and a half off the wall, the glass sits inside it, and the steel is left standing proud of the glass. Nothing is applied, nothing is trim. The drawing is the product.
The opening is captured with a 3D scanner, not a tape. The frame is built to the wall it will hang on.
Every miter is cut on a fiber laser. The four corners close because they were never approximate.
Each corner is welded by hand into a single continuous line of steel.
The joint is ground until it disappears. Run a finger over the corner. Nothing.
Four catalogue sizes, priced and ready to order, frame only. Any other dimension is cut to your opening and quoted.
Any opening between 24 and 144 inches, either finish, wall or floor. Cut to your dimensions and quoted inside twenty-four hours.
Build your sizeFour is where the catalogue ends, not the shop. Beyond four by six feet nobody stocks this. The same section takes a canvas or a print just as well.
Every frame is cut to one wall. Give us the opening and the section builds to it: the eighth-inch edge, the inch and a half off the plaster, held at any dimension you name. Pick the backing and you pick the shadow.
Catalogue sizes run $850 to $1,950, frame only. Any other size is quoted.
Trade pricing. We come back inside twenty-four hours with a number and a drawing, and nothing is cut until you approve it.
Nothing is cut until you approve the drawing, and it ships two weeks after you do. When we scan the opening, the fit is on us. When you send the dimensions, the frame matches your drawing to the thousandth.
